Fun fact: Shumka translates to 'whirlwind' in Ukrainian. This is a perfect representation of Canada's world class folk Ukrainian dance group. After decades of stunning displays of artistry, art, and emotion around the globe, the critically revered ensemble returns to their adopted homeland to celebrate its Year End Show: My Ukrayintsi (We Are Ukrainian).
This unique dance ensemble will showcase a full-length performance and a diverse catalog of intimate concert pieces. The performance will couple the unique genre of Ukrainian dance with both classical and contemporary movement.
