Sam Roberts Band is a Canadian award-winning rock band famous for their timeless indie and alternative rock music that started in the 2000s. Although the band has been together since then, it was not until 2011 that Robert decided on a solo project to be with the group. “Collider” was released under the name of the Sam Roberts Band to emphasize the work they’ve all put into the songs for the past many singles. Robert masterminded and introduced Dave Nugent on lead guitar, Eric Fares on keyboard and guitar, James Hall on bass, and Josh Trager on drums. Sam Roberts confessed his adamant image of his career to be alongside a group of talents since the inception of his career. Now, the band has produced five banger albums, nominated for several Rock Albums of the Year awards, and their music has 125 million streams to date.

Sam Roberts grew up in Cedar Avenue in Pointe-Claire and graduated BA in English from McGill University in 1998. His first band, Northstar, broke up in 1999 after being brushed off by record labels in Los Angeles, but that didn’t stop Roberts from pursuing his musical career. He later put together a demo that would set him up for the big stage, and “The Inhuman Condition” was released in 2002 and became the best-selling independent release in Canadian history. In June 2003, he signed with Universal and released his second album, We Were Born in a Flame. The album was a massive hit in Canada, and Roberts ended up winning Juno Awards for Album of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Artist of the Year. He has released award-winning albums and has been one of the most successful leading indie bands of this generation.

The Sam Roberts Band will be out on tour for this upcoming North American journey this year as they release their new single “Projection.” Catch them at Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium this March 1st, because what better way to spend your Friday nights than with the Canadian rockers to fill that rock and roll heart to kick start the year? Don’t miss out on more of their exciting surprises by getting your tickets now!
