Consecutive years followed with theater acts gaining roles in "Spring Awakening" and "RENT." By 2013, Monsoon eventually got the role of Velma Von Tussle in "Hairspray the Musical."
The step in her career announced that she would be part of the fourteen drag queens in the 5th season of RuPaul's Drag Race. The album's notable success includes the animated music video for "Cartoons and Vodka," following Monsoon's voiced character, Emerald, on a Steven Universe episode the same month.
